Fun Meet – Time Trials Jan 14, 2017 Pomeroy Sport Centre
That was a jam-packed event! As the week progressed, more and more skaters signed up. For OS races we had 26 skaters show, for the fun meet the same number. This meant squeezing in as many races as possible in the 3-hr block. Great skating with PBs and season’s bests for many skaters. Congrats to everyone!
This past Saturday we held the first LT inter club meet of the season. It came together very well. Thank you to all the officials and off ice volunteers. It is very gratifying to participate in a team of dedicated people. As referee for the competition I certainly enjoyed the meet a lot. We did it (again)!
Not only that, we also witnessed great skating by all the athletes, setting benchmarks and making personal bests. There were some very impressive PBs.
